Dental Implants

Dental implantWhen you experience tooth loss, it can disrupt your entire life. It becomes difficult to eat and drink regularly, and the pain can be unbearable. If you do not seek immediate, expert care, you risk further injury to your other parts of your mouth, such as your gums, jaw, and bone.

We can help.

Dental implants are a fantastic solution to tooth loss. They replicate the natural function and shape of your teeth for a flawless substitute that feels like the real thing.

Implants replace the root of your tooth, serving as a base for your crown. We use implants made of titanium for a resilient, reliable tooth replacement that can last a lifetime.

Many patients even receive their implant with same-day placement.

Dental implants are a safe procedure performed in a comfortable, controlled environment. With Dr. Bacsa at the helm, there is gentle, meticulous care with experience you can trust.

Here, we lead with education, taking the time to explain the process in detail and discuss your options for a custom treatment plan.

Communication and collaboration: that’s the Bacsa Family Dental and Implant Center promise.

Frequently Asked Questions about Dental Implants

Implants are one of the more in-depth procedures we perform at Bacsa Family Dental and Implant Center, so it’s understandable if you have additional questions.

What is the difference between full and partial dental implants?

Dental implants are used to replace just a few teeth, while full implants cover the entire upper or lower jaw in a single fixed piece.

Full implants are known as dentures and require more of an in-depth procedure than the replacement of a single tooth.

How long do dental implants take?

Many dental implants can be placed same-day for a quick, secure procedure that will have you on your way in no time. However, some cases are more complicated and require a more detailed treatment plan.

When a tooth is removed, some patients require longer healing times before final placement can be made. Extensive damage may cause your mouth to heal differently than it was before, and in more severe cases, the healing process can take months. It is important that Dr. Bacsa fits your dental implants based on this new shape so you can be assured of a comfortable, permanent fit.

During your consultation, Dr. Bacsa and his team will talk with you about your options so you can find the solution that best works for you.

Do dental implants hurt?

Tooth replacement may seem like a painful process, but Dr. Bacsa expertly administers safe, effective sedatives or full anesthesia based on your preference. At most, you will feel pressure, but some patients opt for full anesthesia, so they simply sleep through the procedure. Either way, it is a surprisingly comfortable experience.

Placing the posts of dental implants is an oral surgery and there is a recovery time that will depend on the health of each individual patient.  After the procedure, you may experience minimal swelling and mild discomfort, but it will diminish on its own soon afterward.

How long do dental implants last?

Made of titanium steel, dental implants are some of the most reliable dental work that you can have done today.

When proper maintenance and care, your new dental implant can last an entire lifetime.

Over the years, Dr. Bacsa has served the Indianapolis area with superior dental care, and that includes successful dental implants for thousands of happy patients.
