Dental Fillings

Tooth-colored dental fillingIf you have ever experienced the sharp, throbbing pain of a cavity, you know that you simply cannot wait to get to a dentist for a dental filling.

It is definitely better to have the experienced care of a trusted dentist over the skeptical results generated by the infamous “emergency dentist near me” Google search.

We are a neighborhood name, trusted in our communities for meticulous expert care. That includes safe, professional care from a licensed, knowledgeable emergency dentist with decades of experience under his belt.

You never know when a dental emergency will strike, but thanks to Dr. Bacsa and his outstanding team, you’ll always have exceptional dental care available when you need it.

Frequently Asked Questions about Dental Fillings

Why do I need a dental filling?

A filling is a dental solution for damage and decay caused by harmful bacteria in your mouth. Plaque and tartar can build up over time, wearing down your tooth enamel and darkening your tooth’s natural color.

With Dr. Bacsa’s help, you can avoid tooth decay and even tooth loss with the help of a tooth filling.

We have a whole host of solutions to ensure that we can restore your pearly whites from tooth implants and cavity fillings to dentures and Opalescence teeth whitening.

What kind of fillings do you offer?

At Bacsa Family Dental and Implant Center, we specialize in several different types of fillings to ensure the right fit for your tooth.

Your tooth filling is not a one-size-fits-all option. Today’s tooth fillings offer a more natural look with plastic composite fillings that are cured by UV lights.

Also known as tooth-colored fillings, plastic composite fillings are the modern solution for natural-looking cavity fillings. Our Doctors will evaluate your case, as well as your age, diet, and lifestyle, to make the best recommendation for you. If there is extensive damage, you may require additional treatment, such as a root canal or crowns, so Drs. Bacsa and Toler may use a temporary tooth filling until further work can be done.

The average filling lasts for several years, and we will inspect it regularly at your scheduled cleaning appointments to ensure that it is still holding up well and everything looks great!

How do I know if I need a filling?

When you need a tooth filling, you often feel sensitivity to hot, cold, or even sweet foods and liquids. You may also feel pain when chewing and biting down, making it difficult to eat.

However, you may not always know that you need a filling. While we commonly associate cavities with pain, you can actually have a cavity for years before you feel any symptoms at all.

That is why it is so important to come in for your regularly-scheduled preventive dental care.

Does a cavity filling hurt?

Dr. Bacsa uses a mild, gentle anesthetic that will keep you relaxed and pain-free, so you don’t feel a thing. You may experience some slight sensitivity for the next 48 hours after your appointment, but it is only temporary and nothing compared to the pain of tooth decay.

Don’t live with the pain of tooth decay.

As your emergency dental provider, we can help with quick and pain-free tooth fillings so you will be right back to your normal self in no time.

How much does a filling cost?

It’s understandable to worry about the cost of a filling, let alone the added dental implant cost if you need it. We know all too well the burden of a growing family’s expenses, which is why our staff is kind, patient and thoughtful when it comes to our dental billing process.

We will work with you to find a payment solution that best fits your budget and dental insurance policy.

You should not have to sacrifice care for cost.

At Bacsa Family Dental and Implant Center, you never have to.
