Orthodontics

Invisalign clear alignersBraces are far from what they used to be.

Today’s orthodontics are clear, lightweight and perfectly molded to each unique tooth for an easy, comfortable fit. Thanks to Invisalign® clear braces, you can fix your teeth in half the time of traditional braces and with half the fuss.

Orthodontic treatment is our solution when your teeth grow out of place. Braces and aligners are corrective devices that slowly and gently realign your jaw for an even bite and a healthier mouth. A retainer may also be used to train your jaw to remain in place after your braces can come off.

Not only can orthodontics fix your bite, but treatment can also improve and enhance your facial features by offering a more rounded, even shape.

Bacsa Family Dental and Implant Center offers convenient, pain-free treatment to correct your bite and improve your smile in no time at all!

Frequently Asked Questions About Orthodontics

How do I know if I need orthodontics?

Braces may be a great solution for you if you want to straighten your teeth and even your bite. Braces can correct problems like:

  • Overbites
  • Underbites
  • Crossbites
  • Crooked teeth
  • Misaligned jaws

Younger children can experience even more issues when their teeth do not develop the right way. Around the age of seven, children’s teeth can begin to show signs of misalignment or poor tooth placement.

This can include these conditions.

  • Premature or delayed loss of baby teeth
  • Difficulty chewing or biting
  • Mouth breathing
  • Crowded, misplaced, or overlapping teeth
  • Front teeth that do not line up with bottom teeth

We can work together from an early age to plan for your child’s ongoing dental treatment.

How long will orthodontics take?

While each case is different, the length of your orthodontic treatment will depend on what kind of braces you choose.

Traditional braces involve a far more intricate process that can take up to two years, while Invisalign® cuts that time in half. If you are using partial braces to correct just your front teeth, you could improve your bite in as little as six months.

Why are Invisalign® clear braces better than traditional braces?

Invisalign® is the modern solution to braces, offering a far more comfortable experience for teens and adults. You can benefit from invisible correction in lieu of the bulky, metal braces of days past.

Invisalign® has many other benefits, too.

  • Removable for easy eating and drinking
  • Natural look with invisible aligners
  • Shorter treatment time than metal braces
  • Adjustable for a custom smile

Is Bacsa Family Dental and Implant Center experienced in orthodontics?

Most dentists are not equipped to handle orthodontic treatment. To become a licensed orthodontist, you must complete several years of advanced training to become intimately acquainted with the inner workings of your jaw.

In addition to his years of experience, Dr. Bacsa has successfully corrected the smiles of countless Indianapolis families with both traditional orthodontics and Invisalign® clear aligners.

To find out if orthodontic treatment will help your bite issues, call our patient support team to schedule your complimentary consultation with Indianapolis’ most family-friendly dentist office, Bacsa Family Dental and Implant Center.
